Children stand in a circle with hands joined and raised in an arch. The child chosen as the bluebird stands outside the circle. The bluebird weaves in and out of the circle. On "Oh, Johnny, I am tired," the bluebird chooses another child by tapping them on the shoulder. The first bluebird takes their place in the circle.
