Rhosmyedre is a 19th-century Welsh hymn tune by the Welsh Anglican priest and musician J.D. Edwards, named after the village of Rhosymedre in Wales. The name translates to “lovely” in Welsh. It is best known today as the inspiration for the second of Ralph Vaughan Williams’s "Three Preludes on Welsh Hymn Tunes" (1920), a piece so popular that it is often simply called Rhosymedre on its own.
