Mr. Greg has been a successful private music instructor for fifteen years. In that time he has developed a unique way to give each student a customized learning strategy for piano lessons, guitar lessons, songwriting lessons and much more. His unique approach has also been successful with Pre-K students for piano lessons for ages 3, 4 and 5.

He is fully licensed K-12 Music Teacher, certified by the NJ Department of Education and his classroom work (focusing on student songwriting) was featured in an NJN documentary in 2007.
Mr. Greg has also specialized in music instruction for children with special needs ranging from those in the autism spectrum to students suffering from cerebral palsy.
A professional pianist, he also plays guitar and drums (and a host of other instruments).
Music Teaching Guru features a full Apple Studio utilizing all the latest music technology for piano instruction, songwriting and film scoring (located next to Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, NJ). Our families come to us from Montclair, Glen Ridge, Nutley, Upper Montclair (and sometimes even further).
Gregory has released two albums as a professional pianist & songwriter, with several of his songs, arrangements and compositions being featured on compilation albums by other artists.

The studio is licensed fully insured and Mr. Greg is a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Masters in Curriculum Design, a best selling co-author and national speaker, and a former public school music teacher.
Gregory has implemented curricula for grades K-12 and has created student driven programs such as the Elton John Red Piano Benefit Concert in Asbury Park, NJ, and the Cirque du Soleil Correspondence Project in Morris Plains, NJ. He and his wife Cheryl have three children (Adrian, Anastasia and Adela) and you're likely to hear them jamming together.
