Greensleeves | English Folksong
for Intermediate/Level 3 Piano Solo from the Free Sheet Music Index
Greensleeves is a traditional English folksong. It was first registered as "A New Northern Dittye of the Lady Greene Sleeves" at the London Stationer's Company in 1580. The tune was also used to set the lyrics for What Child Is This?, proclaiming the birth of the baby Jesus, "whom angels greet with anthems sweet while shepherds watch are keeping".
