About Me
I have years of experience helping students be the bass players, and musicians, that they are capable of being.
I offer private double bass lessons, private electric bass guitar lessons, as well as lessons in theory, composition, ear training, and dictation.
I hold an undergrad degree in Double Bass Performance from Chicago College of the Performing Arts, and am a year away from completing my Masters there. I currently study, and have studied for years, with some of the best bassists in the Lyric Opera Orchestra and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
I am active in the Chicago music community as a performing musician, and spend my spare time working on a thesis regarding the composition of Motown and Stax basslines.

Lesson Details
All private instruction is geared around individual student performance, progress, and retention. I use a student's musical interests to shape the pedagogy for each individual, allowing for more interesting and fun lessons for everyone.
I teach all styles of music relevant to bass, and find that most of my students become very well-rounded musically, which is a very valuable thing. I teach Classical, Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Rock, Latin, and everything in between.
My bass motto is good tone, good groove, and good taste. These three things will get students all the bass performance opportunities they could ever want.
