History for 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star'

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star was written by English poet and novelist Jane Taylor (1783-1824) at the age of 23. It first published in 1806 in "Rhymes for the Nursery." The poem is set to the French tune "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman" which Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart also used in his Twelve Variations on "Ah vous dirai-je, Maman".
