MMF! All-In-One Beginner Piano Course - Level 1A
The MMF! All-In-One Beginner Piano Course - Level 1A is finally complete, with thirty-one pages of instruction that you can download for free! Use it as your student's primary lesson book, or as a supplement to their other lesson book.
I'm giving it a test run with several new beginning piano students, and things are going great! I would love to hear your feedback as you and your students work through this book. I've been asking parents to print this book and put it in a binder. Also, as this is such a large resource, their may be a few errors here and there. I welcome your emails to clear up any problems. Thanks!
The method features:
•Note reading from the very beginning
•"Partner Pieces" that that drill the same skill, such as rhythm or meter
•Worksheets that drill note naming and basic rhythms
•Illustrations that make you giggle!
•Pieces that introduce kids to rhymes with strong literary value, like Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes, as well as a few of my own kooky original rhymes
•Award certificate for completion of this method
When students complete this method they will be able to easily move to the Alfred's Lesson Book Level 1B.
Thanks for sharing this resource on Facebook and Twitter! The friends that your send to the MMF! website keeps this website a free website.

Here are two rhymes that I wrote this month for my beginner piano book. You may enjoy using them in the music classroom as speech pieces or with a drumming unit. Try writing the rhyme on your whiteboard, and then ask the students to play the rhythm of the rhyme on the drum. Working phrase by phrase, you can focus on developing good drumming technique, while the students have a blast playing the drums and saying a silly rhyme!
Mr. Botter's Cat | Rhyme
Mr. Botter's cat,
Slept soundly on his mat.
Each morn he rose up without fail,
When Botter stepped upon his tail.
Miss O'Leary's Cow | Rhyme
Miss O'Leary's cow was brown,
When she took it into town.
She came back and it was pink,
And gave you strawberry milk to drink.
